Khelo Front Foot Pe! Ross Taylor |
GMR Sports Head (Cricket) and Delhi
Daredevils Team Mentor TA Sekar said he was delighted with the latest acquistion.
“We all know what a quality player Ross is and we are happy that he will be
with us this season,” Sekar said. “We are confident that we have a very
competitive side and can have a good run in the coming edition of the Indian
Premier League.”
Sekar said the team’s thinktank had worked
hard to get together a strong batting line-up this season. “Besides players
like our captain Virender Sehwag and David Warner, we have added muscle to our batting
by inducting Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen and now Ross Taylor into our fold,”
he said. “Our fans can look forward to some explosive knocks.”
Raghu Iyer, CEO, Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt Ltd, which owns Rajasthan Royals, wished Taylor the very best in his stint with the Delhi Daredevils. “Ross was a pivotal member of the Rajasthan Royals last season,” he said.
Taylor represented Royal Challengers
Bangalore in the first three seasons of the IPL, before being acquired by
Rajasthan Royals in the 2011 Player Auction.
IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said 10 players
were traded in the two trading windows, with four trades occurring post the February
4 IPL Player Auction. “The trading window has now closed. The next
milestone is March 5, 2012, by which time the teams must finalise their
squads.” he said.

ReplyDeletetat makes the batting department more stronger.......
must congratulate the daredevils managing staff...they've done a gr8 job this season!!! it was so disappointing to see the failure of team management( mr. p.b.vanchi and co.) in putting up a good team last season...but with mr. kiran gandhi and return of t.a. sekar, things are looking ominous...as it was said earlier, from 40,000 fans on facebook, we've reached 200000 in 4 days!! well done mr. gandhi and mr. sekar and company!!!
